There might be fifty shades of Grey but there are only four shades of Kelly.
1. Being hilarious
2. Laughing about hilarious I just was
3. Trying to pull it together and get a grip on my aforementioned hilarity
4. Reenacting my hilarity for my own amusement
I was in the middle of step four when the unsuspecting woman walked in to the bathroom to see my husband in his bowtie snapping pictures on his phone. Flustered she said quickly something to the effect of ”I can come back later!”
Excitedly we tried to explain that my dress matched the wallpaper. It was a photo op we could not pass up. She walked past us and entered a stall as I tried to excuse our behavior “We have a seven month old! We haven’t left our house in a year!”
But we did last night. And we had fun. And both kids lived to tell the tale. We should try it again. In a few months. No need to rush in to anything.
We are now accepting social invitations for the holiday season. With advance notice I will dress to match the wallpaper in your bathroom. Your guests will have a chance to play live action Where’s Waldo? Now that is a good time. Take my word for it.
Ooh girl, I can relate! I went to a wedding once with some pants that I thought were so awesome because they were made out of upholstery fabric…that was the exact same as the table cloths. So instead of hilarity in the bathroom I completely blended in with the entire reception. I was too young to appreciate the humor and I applaud you for rocking out the wallpaper photos! Hey, have you ever seen Garden State? In one scene he totally matches the wallpaper in the bathroom, too.
OMG!!! What are the chances of this??? That is amazingly funny!!! I just keep looking at the pictures in awe (not in a stalkerish way)!! LOL
Stalk on!! It is the highest form of flattery!!!
I peed a little reading this..thanks for being funny (and thanks, baby, for making me incontinence).
I just sat here and thought two things. 1. Why did you she call me “baby?” 2. How did I make her incontinent?
HA!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAA….if you can laugh, you will never get old, and you will most likely never die. Funnier than the dress matching the wallpaper is the knowledge that you married a man who is willing to follow you into the ladies room to snap the pics. Way to go, Mike! Grumplestiltskin Isaacson would never have agreed to do that!
I like that kid more and more. You, I already like. By the way, you looked fabulous.
Fabulously awesome — made me snort out a bit of my coffee, I’m not gonna lie. You match the table linens from our wedding, too — look at that, another Waldo opportunity! Glad you found a babysitter — I think that’s what I’ll struggle with the most — finding someone I trust enough to watch my small one. Ya know, whenever that time comes around :)
P.S. Our bathroom is painted orange with a grey stripe. Start shoppin’, lady.
:)
How far are you willing to travel?? Do you need pictures of the wallpaper??
Love the dress!!
